My role as a PD Researcher means being the master of product design and ingredients and driving product market differentiation. Want to create product solutions that help you achieve your business goals? Can you suggest a creative and original way to create an unparalleled product in the market effectively and efficiently? Then you will succeed with the research team that owns the development of Target-Owned Brands. Compliance and close relationships with suppliers lead to synergy and efficiency and effectiveness while ensuring that our products meet technical, marketing objectives, different strategies, price points and overall sales. We also work with our suppliers to ensure we have a clear understanding of our vision and bring it to life in every product we offer.
As the Pet Team’s PD Scientist, you own pet products such as grooming, dental, and waste, and support the pet food manager and scientist. We also work across cross-functional teams of business, brands, technology, management and business partners to identify products and create effective solutions for our customers.
You will be responsible for end-to-end production, quality control and advocacy for your team and company.
Product innovation:
Collaborating with key scientists, they engage in technological research and design, materials and water absorption products.
We help create a technology service strategy for design and information based on business objectives. Create product specifications for advanced formulations and materials.
Work with the sales and marketing team to identify potential product partners. Evaluate product standards and effectively communicate differences to project teams.
Recommend product partners and work with product manufacturers to ensure products meet quality and cost specifications. Identify and resolve test issues during development.
Equipment, maintenance and quality control:
Maintains a working knowledge of government regulations, safety procedures and on-target operational standards for products in all categories. Understand benchmarks for specific brands to measure and benchmark products to meet or exceed the competition.
Rigorous evaluation ensures Target’s products stand out from the competition.
Worked with Mission Compliance team to develop operational testing procedures.
Create technical product specifications and product quality standards. Work with the brand team and vendors to ensure your brand is understood and executed.
