Responsibilities.

coordinating ramp, operations, provisioning, servicing, and servicing aircraft to ensure on-time departures, quick turnarounds, and to make up time on delayed flights in order to deliver legendary customer service to passengers boarding the aircraft.

closes out flights; maintains accurate flight papers in files. ensures that aircraft are properly prepped and stocked before takeoff.
Organizes special services required on board an aircraft, such as cleaning emergency bathrooms, maintaining cabins, providing wheelchairs for customers, and more.
manages customer boarding and deplaning while operating the boarding bridge.
Collects boarding passes and/or electronic boarding data, confirms boarding counts, and collaborates with gate agents to speed up the check-in process.
checks your luggage as necessary. frequently carries things from jetway to ramp using jetway stairs.
reports irregularities in writing and submits them as needed. inspects the cargo on hand to ensure that it is accurately logged and accounted for. ensures that all board mail and company materials are sent to the appropriate Stations for dispatch.
receives, refers, or places paging calls and issues paging announcements as necessary. updates the rest of the station’s staff on flight movements, weather, and unusual operations.
assembles statistical reports to enter data from travel documents. operates equipment for flight information display systems and updates systems as operationally necessary.
complies with all company requirements for maintaining and wearing the uniform, and while performing their duties, maintains a clean and polished appearance.
gives all coworkers and customers friendly service. accomplishes special tasks or assignments as assigned by the supervisor or station management staff.
accountable for ground security and making sure that security protocols are followed during operations.

The Operations Agent training program, evaluation, and probationary period must be completed successfully with a grade point average of 90 percent or higher.
Must be able to recognize potentially dangerous situations and respond to emergencies as they arise.

To complete quick aircraft turns, one must work within a limited time frame.
needs to be proficient in both writing and speaking.
In accordance with the Ground Operations Employee Handbook and Labor Agreement, must present a presentably well-groomed appearance.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally over the phone, in person, and over public address systems is required.
Must be able to use radio equipment while maintaining awareness of moving vehicles or aircraft.
Must be able to convey instructions and information orally or through radio equipment.
