Regarding this job: As part of the Wealth Investment Management (WIM) team, Wells Fargo is looking for a Senior Database Engineer in technology. A centralized Oracle data store and associated ETL ingress/egress jobs are supported by this team’s platform support. Nearly 200 downstream applications rely on the accuracy and timely availability of the data that is gathered, transformed, and stored in the data store for their business functions. Prophet, SQL, Informatica and Shell Prearranging are the principal advancements utilized around here.

You will be responsible for:

Perform the planning, research, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of server class databases Perform the design and implementation of security solutions, including Center for Internet Security benchmarks and auditing Perform the design and certifying of next generation database technologies Consult with and advise management and multiple clients on high impact data or database management issues, influencing strategic direction Provide technical leadership and recommendation into the future direction of database technology Develop management policies, procedures, standards, and best practices Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals Required

Experience in database engineering of at least four years, or the equivalent, as demonstrated by one or more of the following: Education, training, military experience, work experience, two years or more of hands-on experience with SQL and application support, two years or more of experience with enterprise servers, storage, and network architectures, and a good understanding of resiliency models are all required qualifications.

• Experience with Oracle (EXADATA Frame) and Informatica ETL processing Support data operations for highly complex Wealth and Investment Management business flows Excellent knowledge of relational databases.
• Previous experience working with large databases (sizes in TB) Ability to collaborate with database engineers, database administrators, and technology infrastructure teams
• Prior experience working with Wells Fargo’s vendors, clients, and supporting applications for data exchange
• Previous involvement in information change endeavors (data set updates, moving information out from normal climate)

• Flexibility to work around the clock, including weekends and holidays, on a rotational basis, and the ability to work additional hours as required.
